PDRN (Salmon DNA)
Scientific name: Polydeoxyribonucleotide · Repair, anti-inflammatory, collagen support, brightening
Polydeoxyribonucleotide (PDRN) is a purified collection of DNA fragments, primarily extracted from chum salmon or trout sperm cells, used in medicine since the 1990s for wound healing and tissue repair. In K-Beauty it activates the A2A adenosine receptor to reduce inflammation, upregulates VEGF and collagen synthesis, inhibits MMP-2/9 and MITF (pigmentation), and feeds the DNA salvage pathway. Injectable PDRN (Rejuran Healer) has the strongest evidence for structural remodeling; topical PDRN delivers hydration, barrier repair and anti-inflammatory benefits, with stronger results when combined with delivery-enhancing technology like the VT Reedle Shot spicule system.

Caution
{"Avoid VT Reedle Shot (spicule delivery) during active dermatitis flares or when the skin barrier is compromised","Salmon-derived PDRN is not vegan; ginseng or yeast-derived vegan PDRN has a smaller evidence base","Topical PDRN cannot replicate injectable Rejuran clinic results"}
